Signer identified at runtime

Hi, We've a scenario wherein we have 3 signers for a given document and all of them sign sequentially. Singer1 signs then signer2 and then signer3. The issue though is that signer2 is identified at runtime and known to signer1. i.e. when the package reaches signer1, there is a offline process that lets signer1 know who singer2 is . please provide any suggestion on how to implement this scenario... thanks Neel

There are a couple ways that I can think of to do this. The cleanest would be to put in dummy signer info for signer 2 and create a process that allows signer 1 to enter the signer info into you application and submit. Upon submission, the package is taken into draft status, the signer info for signer 2 is updated, and the package is resent. Signer Management Guide The other would be to provide a second email for signer 1 for signer 2 and allow them to "change the signer". Change Signer Guide Hope this helps. Let me know.

Thanks Michael. I like the first solution. In regards that solution , when you say "create a process that allows signer 1 to enter the signer info into you application " ...did you mean this process is outside of esignlive?

Correct. This would have to be something within your application that allowed them to enter info for you to take (with code) and update the signer info. Unfortunately, besides the ability for someone to change a signer (from themself - 2nd solution), there isn't anything in eSignLive, currently, that would allow a signer to define a currently undefined signer.
