About discarding signatures and forcing hand-drawn sigs

0 votes
Hello Silanis team- Today I have two scenarios for you that stump us.
  • We need an option to abort the "click-to-sign" process. When signing a package, the user should have an option to "Cancel": This action should delete/discard the signer's stored signature image and remove it from all docs that have already been signed with it. I have found only options to abort the whole package (re-activating it actually brings back the previously used signature image); or to cancel the Signature Confirm, (odd behavior, all it does is trap the user on the Confirm button -- the sig image is still on the document). Can you think of a way to accommodate our requirement?
  • We would like to specify at document-level that the signature should NOT participate in "click-to-sign", but should *always* solicit a drawn signature. I.e., a package has 5 docs, the signer draws the sig on the first, clicks to accept the same sig on #2-4, but must draw their signature again on the last document. Any way to to this?
thanks for any insights, =maina)

Hi Maina,
  • Unfortunately, once a signer signs a document, his/her signatures are stamped onto the document and cannot be tampered with, removed or otherwise. You'll have to either create a new package or remove the the document and re-upload it once the signer has opted-out/declined.
  • The feature where the signer has to draw his signature on each signature field is currently on our roadmap. Though, I'm not sure when it'll be released. I'll reply to this post when it'll be available :)
