Active link to supporting PDF document during signing ceremony?

0 votes
As part of our use case there is a statement on a form where the client acknowledges receipt of a document. ideally there would be link on the document which the signer could sign during the signing ceremony if they wanted to review the material. In submitting a PDF document it appears that PDF links are NOT active during the signing ceremony. Once complete and retrieving the eSigned document the link works as expected. Is it possible to have PDF links active during the signing ceremony? Are there alternatives placement options available? Thanks

Hi there, Allowing dynamic content is a severe security risk, this is why OneSpan Sign have introduced flattening in the first place. Although we are working actively on providing more flexible content during Signing Ceremony, there's not a built-in capability allowing to achieve this use case directly. There's also one Enhancement Request asking for "Enable links on flattened documents during signing ceremony", but it's not yet on the road map. Besides depending on the production behavior change, two potentially workarounds we usually suggest to the developers: (1) You can make the material/document you want signer to acknowledge an "accept-only" document (guide here), this will also be recorded by our audit trail that signer has viewed and accepted the document. (2)Or you can add the material as an appendix without any signature at the last index, and mentioned in your real document that "refer to appendix for more details". Hope this could help! Duo
