Auto Archive packages with addtional settings to set permanent purge dates
Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 05:06pmCurrently end users are having to MANNUALY move completed packages to archive to keep their inbox free of clutter. We would like to have a configuration setting that would allow us to indicated a time period to move the completed packets to archive and a secondary setting that would allow us to set up a permanent purge. Here is how we would like our environment to work with regard to this request.
Auto Archive Completed packages that age after 30 days and that will still allow the member to access under this status via the link that is in the final email that they receive.
At 60 days have a config setting that will disable the link and allow for a permanent purge date to be applied. Example:
0-30 days - package remains in inbox
31st day triggers auto archive
31st-60th day package is in stage one of archive with access by member via link still functional
61st day triggers disable link and purge date to be applied
61st - 90th day completed packages remain in this state in archive until designated purge date
This allows for managed retention of completed packages based on the customers retention requirements. This is a basic setup that works for our environment. Other customers may need something more dynamic in nature, but this is a good start.
