Does esignlive support fill-in pdf files? our scenario is that the first signer enters the data in the fill-in pdf & signs it. The document then is routed to the second signer who signs the document to complete the workflow. please let me know

Hey neelsp, You can use document extraction to extract the form fields in your pdf. You'll have to name your form fields such that eSignLive can recognize them. Have a look at this blog for more information: https://www.esignlive.com/blog/e-signlive-how-to-document-extraction-net-sdk/ After which, you can set a role and document workflow that fits your use case.

okay What happens if the pdf already a fillable pdf (created with pdf writer like Acrobat) ? All we want the signer to do is fill-in the data on the pdf & sign it.

Document extraction works by extracting all the fillable form fields that you created with Adobe Acrobat and automatically creates all signatures and fields that exist in your pdf. The positions and sizes of the signatures and fields in the pdf file are automatically retained in eSignLive. Once you've sent your package, your signer will be able to fill-in your pdf and sign it.

oh cool. Does it have to be done programatically or we can configure it as part of the package creation step?

This will have to be done programmatically. Have a look the link I posted above for a step-by-step on how to setup document extraction.
