Free form signing

Hello, I am evaluating eSignLive for a specific use case. I would like to know if free form signing (like how Docusign does it https://www.docusign.com/supportdocs/cdse-user-guide/Content/advanced-sending/free-form-signing.htm) is possible in eSignLive. Thanks, Praveen.

Hi Praveen, Yes, it is indeed possible. The equivalent of free-form signing of DS is the designer in eSignLive. You'll have a similar menu on the left to add signatures and fields. Here's how to create a designer session: https://developer.esignlive.com/guides/feature-guides/designer/

And on an additional note, you can customize the designer through support. For example, hide the send button, remove field options, etc..

Just to clarify, here's my use case. Sender sends a document without putting any signature fields on it, and the receiver should be able to open it in designer mode and add his/her signature wherever it's appropriate and finishes the transaction. Sender would then be able to download the document signed by the receiver. Does this work with the designer api?

You won't be able to sign in the designer view. What you can do is open a signer session after you hit "Send" in the designer view. Once signing has been completed, you can download the signed documents or choose to receive signed documents by email.
