Multiple Signers in a Role

0 votes
I have a scenario in which multiple signers can be part of same role. Like role1 has Signer1, Signer2, and Signer3 When this role1 is linked with Document1 to sign at mentioned location, only Signer1 is getting email to do. Id it possible that all 3 signers in role1 gets email and anyone can do the signing process?

Hi there, You can't have multiple signers for one role. A role is essentially a signer and each signer can only be associated with one role. Hence, you'll need to create three roles if you want to have 3 signers in a package. Hope this helps.

As per documentation here, We can define more than one signers in role. And this role.id is what is mapped with documents.approvals.role So, If I have 3 signers in one role (say role1) and then map this role1 with documents.approvals.role, then only first signer is getting email. So, whats purpose of having array of signers in role?

That is an old schema (i.e. version 10.0) and has been deprecated for a long time. The current version is 11.12. I'm not exactly sure why there is an array for signers but that is how it currently works in esignlive (can only map one role to a signer).

Do we have link to new schema documentation? Also I didn't get any error when I passed array of signers in one role in my JSON request.
