QR code functionality

Can you please provide an overview of how QR code works? If a QR code is created for an eSign package, is there a time limit for how long the QR code will work? There is a client who wants to print the QR code and scan it with the app at a later date to avoid using a desktop computer. They tested it right away and it worked fine but who knows what will happen a few days out.

Hey Rajiv, The QR Code is for the fast track link. This QR Code works just like the fast track link. If you put the QR Code in your portal or into a document and print it out, it should still work just as the normal fast track link would in these scenarios. Let me know if I'm misunderstanding the issue.

Is there a time limit for how long the QR code will work? We have a dealer who wants to print the QR code and scan it with the app at a later date to avoid using a desktop computer. They tested it right away and it worked fine but who knows what will happen a few days out. On the other hand, I think the QR Code is valid forever but the content inside it, is a URL. How long is the URL valid for?

The link in the QR Code is just the fast track link. That fast track link is tied to the template that is used to create the package. As long as the template is still there, the link should be good. Hope this helps.
