Signers have same email

Hello, We are getting exception when we try to add signers to package with same email. We are receiving message - 'The email is already in use for package'. So, is there a way we can add signers with same email to the package? Thanks, Sushma

Hi Sushma, No, you cannot add multiple signers with the same email address. If two people have the same email address, it's essentially like having only a single signer because either of them could access the email and sign, even if meant for the other person. If you're trying to have multiple people sign, you'll need a second email address. If you're just trying to put a second signature for one person, you only need to add them once as a signer and then add multiple signatures. Let me know!

Michel, there might some cases, let us take an example for a Buyer, his wife is Cobuyer. So what if wife doesn't have email(she uses the same mail of buyer), but she have her own documents to sign as a cobuyer. How can we achieve this? Thanks, Sushma

Another email address will have to be set up. Will this be an in-person signing ceremony or an embedded into your portal signing ceremony? Or will it be email delivery? If logged into your portal or in-person, you could potentially use a dummy email address for the co-signer/co-buyer for these situations. With email notifications shut off, the email address wouldn't get notifications and therefore couldn't be used to access the package and sign. Just an idea.
