Signs Settings missed when putting myself as a signer using a template

It's an expected behavior, this is because in OneSpan Sign, sender (yourself) is always in the signer list no matter if the sender is displayed. Hence there will be duplicated senders if you are replacing a placeholder with your own email. To solve this conflict in an easy way, the UI decided to delete the placeholder instead of moving all signatures and fields to the sender.

This is a known limitation and there's already enhancement requests asking for this feature, which allows to replace a placeholder with sender email.

Today, the only way to bypass this issue is to set up an additional template where you'd replace the placeholder with yourself directly in the template when sender is also a signer.

This enhancement request hasn't been on the roadmap yet, therefore there's no ETA for the delivery for the time being. However, I can definitely vote on behalf of your organization for this feature in the roadmap system.
