Template and Layout Copy Tool

0 votes

I downloaded the copy tool then made the mistake of setting it to be opened with Acrobat. What should it be opened with? I have downloaded the JRE environment.

I have used this tool several times but this is a new laptop.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Sam,

To run the executive jar file, please install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 8 and later, below is a download link for Java8:

Hi Duo;

I have downloaded the JAR file and I am still not getting the Copy tool to launch. I made the mistake of originally setting the copy tool to open in Notepad so I keep getting the file coming from your codeshare to be launching in notepad.

Hi Sam,

You can either set the default launching program as JRE, see attachment. Or alternatively open the jar file from the console, the command looks like:
java -jar "C:\your_path_to_jar\OSS - Template & Layout Copy Tool -v1.6.2.jar"

Hi Duo

I attached the choices of runtime JRE. Which one should I choose. I am running Windows 64. Is there anything I need to do to install once I download? I remember this being easier so I must be doing something wrong.

Hi Sam,

To download and install jre-8u202-windows-x64.exe looks fine.
