variable in sms.template.passcode

Hi,

in the account setting for the below resource, can I put '"$RECIPIENT_NAME;" as the variable there? if so, could you please provide the sample?

sms.template.passcode (en)  : Your passcode for the transaction '$PACKAGE_NAME;' is: $PASS_CODE;

Hi Cindy,

The only two parameters in the resource "sms.template.passcode" are $PACKAGE_NAME; and $PASS_CODE;. From my understanding, not to display recipient's name is to protect signer's privacy in case the phone number is no longer in use or whatever reason the text message delivered to a wrong person.

got it.

one more question is what to trigger the locale of "sms.template.passcode"? in my testing scenario, I set package as French, no signer level locale, and the signer(not registered as sender in the system) got everything(activate email, SMS enter page, signing page) in French but SMS message is in English?

thanks.

Hi Duo,

I found out, if in the account level I set sms.template.passcode(en), then I got the English SMS message  with package level locale as French. but if I don't set sms.template.passcode(en) in the account, same scenario is working as expected.

is it as per design or a defect?

Thanks,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

The SMS message locale should be consistent to signer language, in your case should be French. If you consistently encounter this problem, we should fill in a support ticket and have this reported.

It's the same behavior in SaaS environment. In my opinion, I think the SMS template should use defaults for other languages instead of the customized English version. If this causes any inconvenience to your integration, please have this post reported to our support team and our agents will reproduce and escalate the issue.

Hi Cindy,

If you manually set "sms.template.passcode" in French, the message will be sent correctly. This could be a quick work around.
