the link in the email template

Hi,

In my CA sandbox account '[email protected]',  I found the link for "view completed documents' button, the link is "https://sandbox.e-signlive.ca/sso/saml/login/alias/e-signlive?idp=xxxxx&RelayState=xxx"

but in account '[email protected]', the same link is as ""https://sandbox.e-signlive.ca/a/transaction/oB5bF080J89ec4qS0zVF9pEgz24%3D"

which setting triggers the difference? one URL contains sso, and the other doesn't. if you look at the email templates, both has the same link

thanks,

Cindy

basically how $LINK_URL; is generated? why one contains sso/saml, but not the other, which account settings triggers that?

Hi Cindy,

Thanks for the information. After checking in backoffice, this is because your account ([email protected]) has SENDER type SAML configured in backoffice, and the SP initiated URL will replace the $LINK_URL; variable when hitting the button in the email notification.

Thanks Duo. I figure it out as well. but if I used SP initiated URL in the $LINK_URL; it will redirect to the page which is different from if I don't used SP initiated URL in the link, do you know why? is it the bug? it seems without SP initiated URL behavior is correct.

thanks,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

I see what you meant. Yeah, from my test the redirected URLs are different:

https://sandbox.e-signlive.ca/a/transaction/oB5bF080J89ec4qS0zVF9pEgz24%3D (without sender sso)

vs

https://sandbox.e-signlive.ca/a/transaction/dkLx7b1rynBqs1uOoJNw2VcXPfs=/sign (with sender sso)

We can definitely raise this inconsistence to the support team if you preferred.

thanks Duo, I already raised the issue with Support (CS0098086), it seems they couldn't find the root cause, even they don't understand what I tried to say. could you please reach out to them? or you want me to talk to Support?

thanks,

Cindy

Duo,

also this issue not only for evidence summary email template, for example decline email template has the same issue, with sender SSO vs without, redirect to different URL.
