Hi is there a way to add information to the signature reason that is shown on the PDF when viewing the signature properties?

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for your post! If you are referring to the scenario, when viewing PDF in adobe > click on signature properties > customize the reason, which by default said "Reason: E-SIGNED by {signer_name} ({signer_email}), ID: {role_id}". I doubt you can customize the string format via account settings, but for example if you want to store some custom reference ID, you can set it as the role ID.

Also, could you elaborate a little bit about your business requirement, like which kind of data you want to seal into the signature and what's the purpose behind it?

Yes, that is what I'm referring to.  We use OpenID Connect in our application for user authentication and we wanted to store some information about the user into the signature.  The role ID is that something that can be updated after the package is created via REST.

Hi Jimmy,

You can set the role ID value when you added the signer, but won't be able to update it once the signer has been created.
