Google Authenticator App

0 votes

Afternoon All,

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post, or if this is a bit of a noob questions, but I'm struggling to find any information really.

Im trying to figure out if i can use the Google Authenticator App for my Authentication Server, im trying to use a mobile phone code rather then a hardware token.

Am i looking at this wrong, is this even possible?

Im assuming i need to add something into the server as i would with the hardware token, but not sure how i do that

Any advice or if anybody could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your post.

Authentication server does not support any 3rd-party Authenticator Applications like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator. However, OAS does support our own mobile application called Mobile Authenticator available for both iOS and Android.

Here is a link to our Mobile Authenticator documentation for your reference – https://www.onespan.com/products/mobile-authentication.

Here is a link to the data sheet:  https://www.onespan.com/resources/mobile-authenticator/datasheet

From licensing perspective, Mobile Authenticator requires additional licenses (i.e. DPX-files) which can be ordered from OneSpan directly or via our Channel partners.

I hope this helps.
