Signature on the signed document

Hi, We have a scenario wherein we are rendering the signed document (pdf) in an application named Alfresco (it is a workflow tool) using its built-in pdf viewer. For some reason, the signature doesn't show up in that viewer but when we open the document in adobe pdf viewer it shows up. Could you please let us know if the signature mark on the signed document is a watermark of some kind or of any other type? We want to get this information back to Alfresco so that they can resolve the issue. please assist thanks Neel

Hey Neel, The only reason a signature would disappear from the signed document is if it has been tampered with. Any modification in the signed document will break the security seal and you will lose all the signatures. I am not very familiar with the Alfresco application, but you should make sure that it doesn't break the security seal by making modifications to the signed document.

Well, it is not disappearing from the document. The signature is very much there as we are able to see it when we open the document through the acrobat pdf reader. The issue is that the application's (alfresco) pdf view is just not able to display the signature and we are trying to resolve that. All we need to know is is the signature on the pdf an image or a watermark or something else. thanks Neel

Sorry about that. I misunderstood your original post. If the signature is a click-to-sign, then it is text. If it's a capture signature, then the signature is an image.
