Force mobile UI for signing ceremony?

0 votes
Hello, I are not using the iOS SDK, and instead loading the signing ceremony from the signingURL in web views on both iOS and Android tablets. The load times vary, and even with a one page document, there can be several seconds of a blank white screen, even after the page has already loaded, before the signing ceremony actually shows up. However, I noticed that when opening these urls on mobile PHONES, a mobile UI loads that is much nicer and quicker on mobile - this would work a thousand times better for us on tablets. Is there a way we can force this layout to come up when accessing signing URLs on tablets? Thanks -TJ

Thanks for the update on what you tried already. One of our front-end developers said he thinks you can modify the user-agent in the web view and you'll get the Mobile Signing Ceremony.

This view was only designed for smaller screens and I don't know that you can force it to show. That said, we had a customer recently that was getting the Mobile Signing Ceremony in a native iOS app on an iPad when embedding into a web control, like it sounds like you are doing. I will try to figure out the size of the web view they were using. What is the size of the web control you're embedding the signing ceremony in? Full screen?

The size I am using is: (1024.0, 704.0) full screen But I changed it to be even smaller than an iPhone (224.0, 404.0) and it is still giving me the desktop signing view.

Thanks for that update. I was successfully able to trick iPads into displaying the mobile UI by changing the user agent to say iPhone instead of iPad. Could you ask your front end dev what I should do to accomplish the same thing on Android tablets? It isn't as cut and dry as iPhone/iPad on that platform and the UserAgents can vary greatly. Thanks Michael!

Actually, I was able to do it by changing the Android user agent to look like an iPhones. Works like a charm! Thanks!
