Attach new documents to existing session / lag

0 votes

Using the current print driver  v2.2 :

1. I have prior session "A", that is completed prior.

2. I have created a new document signing session "B".

3. When I go to create a subsequent print driver document "C" - I want to add this document to the prior, unsigned session "A"

4. When printing via the print driver, I do not see "A" listed as an option in the drop down.

A. what is the refresh time for the local user print driver dropdown to update with Open sessions?

B. when is new print driver coming out?  2.2 is completely off-brand and could stand some refreshing and additional functionality.

C. What is the preferred link for OneSpan Partners to be able to download software, both current and beta?

Thanks

Hi davincigroup,

If the dropdown is not reflecting the latest transaction list, you can click "Change Email and Password", and re-login with the same credentials. This will trigger the print driver to fetch the transactions. Need to check internally to see if there's any upgrade plan, and you can always download the latest version via this link:

Duo,

Thanks for the quick reply, I appreciate it.

I am not seeing that work successfully.   I am making the assumption that the Sandbox-level accounts are fully functional.

OS is Win 10, fully patched, newly installed printer driver.

Hi Mark,

Sorry that I missed your screenshot. Please note that you can only add the document to an existing transaction if the status is DRAFT (nor In Progress or Completed). In your sender portal, if you navigate to "Transactions" > "Drafts", the print driver can only fetch transactions in this Draft folder. Therefore, if you need to edit the transaction "PartOne", you will need to either leave the transaction unsent in the first place or manually click the "Edit" button and revert the status to DRAFT, before sign out and sign in the print driver.

Duo,

Thanks again for your response.  Just so I get my head around this, "draft" status is really specific to the user print driver session locally?

Or at least prior to "Send to OneSign" is clicked?

There is no way to default to Default, up on the web, nor does the concept really exist, right?

The use case from client is as such:

They have a signing session that requires multiple documents, many of which may not be accessible at the time of creating the initial transaction.

These documents are all various formats, and cannot be combined into a single PDF. (asking this user base to do that would be a disaster, in any case).

Asking them to "print" each doc is doable, but now I am sensing that, after "sending to onespan" is done, the "In Progress" status sesssion cannot be added to?

Any clearer way forward ?

Any suggestions, from your learned vantage point?

Thanks as always.

Hi Mark,

It's a general rule that you can only modify a DRAFT transaction (including to add new document, change package settings, update signer information, etc.) From your description, it sounds like you just need to leave the transaction unsent during the initial creation and only send it until all documents have been uploaded and fully designed.
