Hardware Digipass authenticator assignment
Hardware Digipass Authenticator Self-Assignment
When a user has received an unassigned Digipass authenticator, they can self-assign the authenticator using the User Self-Management Website.
Users of an authenticator with a Response-Only application need to provide their user name, their static password, the authenticator serial number, and the authenticator response. In addition, if required, they can set the static PIN during the self-assignment process. This may be necessary with those types of authenticators that use a static PIN at the beginning of the response, but have been initialized without a static PIN.
With authenticators that support Challenge/Response authentication, users need to enter their name, their static password, and the authenticator serial number into the Hardware Digipass Self-Assignment page, without an authenticator response. They will be directed to a challenge page, in which they need to enter a response to the challenge.
