Authenticate via Email Address

0 votes
Is there any way how we can authenticate the signing process using email address rather than the phonenumber. The scenario to be more precise is that after eslClient.SendPackage(packageId); When we get the signingUrl back, we would want to authenticate it via email. I have found the authentication via phone number in one of your forums. But could not find the authentication for the email. Thanks, Sumit

Hi Sumit, Email authentication is the default authentication method. A signer authenticated via email is sent an email from eSignLive that contains a link to the document package. The signer clicking the link is considered sufficient to authenticate the signer. Since you are already familiar with SMS authentication, here are two other authentication methods available:
  • Q&A: A signer authenticated via Q&A receives from eSignLive an email that contains a link. When the signer clicks that link, she is asked one or more questions chosen by the sender. To gain access to the document package, the signer must answer one of these questions.
  • KBA:Knowledge-based authentication, or KBA, is a method of authentication that requires knowledge of personal information of an individual to grant access to protected material. KBA questions are generated dynamically and based on information in a signers' personal credit report.
You can get more information about this from our documentation: http://docs.esignlive.com/content/c_integrator_s_guide/sdk/d_managing_signers/signer_authentication.htm
