changing the signing ceremony after package created

0 votes
I was wondering if it is possible to change the signing ceremony in the REST API after a package has been created. Example: I create a package that is set with "inPerson:false", meaning that we will not be doing the inPerson signing ceremony, rather each signer will receive an e-mail link, and then they will sign individually. We anticipate a real-life scenario where this could occur, and then the signer may wish to instead come into an agents office and sign (for whatever reason). Therefore, I would like to be able to provide the agent with a link to re-open the signing ceremony and then give control to the signer. Currently, I can let them get back into the signing screen using a token, but since the initial package was created to NOT be inPerson, then the link I present them with only lets them sign their spot, and not pass control to another signer. I did see that I could edit a package from within my e-sign account page, and I was able to change the ceremony settings there (even after the sender had already signed the document). So, can someone provide some clarification on how I can make that change using the REST API? Thanks! Chris

Hi Chris, To update the signing ceremony settings, you'll first need to change the package status to DRAFT (https://developer.esignlive.com/guides/feature-guides/modify-status-of-a-package/). Then, you can update the signing ceremony as per this guide: https://developer.esignlive.com/guides/feature-guides/package-management/.
