Is there a way to have the default visibility be hidden if a recipient does not have a signature or field on a document? It appears I have to manually hide the doc.
Unfortunately, I don't think there's a setting to have the default document visibility to be hidden. In the document visibility dialog, the recipient who doesn't have signatures are listed in the top section, which can facilitate the operations. Also, you can definitely try with template to automate this preparation process.
