hidden fields using bulk send

0 votes

Hi OneSpan Sign,

I want to use templates and bulk send. I want to associate a transaction reference number and client reference number, but I do not want in of the eSIgn document. Is there a way to adding hidden fields into a document or package so I have these reference number in the evidence but not show up in the eSigned document.

Hi King,

"do not want the reference numbers in of the eSIgn document"

If your concern is that you don't want to expose the reference numbers to the external signer, you can add an additional document and remove the external signer's visibility. So if your template has an internal signer, you can assign the text fields to the internal signer on this additional document.

Or alternatively, in order to create hidden fields, you need to specify the field size as (0,0) (you can only achieve it when creating/updating the template using API or SDK). In current experience, even if the field size is (0,0), the value will still be presented during signing ceremony, but won't be stamped to the document after signing.

"so I have these reference number in the evidence"

However, the hidden label / textfield value won't be presented in the evidence summary - from my tests, seems only when it's a textfield/textarea field and the value get changed during signing, then this event will be audited.
