Imprint Fields and Layouts

Why do imprint fields not save to a layout, when using the "Save Layout" option? Upon loading a layout to apply to a document, it only pulls through the fields assigned to a recipient and completely omits the imprint fields. Am I doing something wrong or is this not supported? If it isn't supported, why is that?

Thanks for reporting this to us! I can reproduce the same that even if the imprint fields are in the layout's JSON, it's not applied to the transaction, both via UI and API.
I'd like to fill in a support ticket on your behalf and will update this thread once there's any updates.

It's internally confirmed that the Imprint Fields are not supported in layout, hence the imprint fields are missing when layout applied to a new transaction. You can raise an Enhancement Request with your account CSR/CSM.
