Hi marlon, If your concern is that you don't want two signers see each other's personal information, OneSpan Sign has the capability of having fields that hold values that are only visible in the document at the time the current signer signs. If you want the information to be non editable, you'd use label fields. If you want the information to be editable by the signer, you'd use text fields. Thanks, this is helpful. I guess my question now is will I be able to insert data into one of the fields of the original pdf at the time of the second signer. This is because the second signer will give additional information only once the first signer has signed. Marlon

Hi marlon, If the information is provided by second signer, you can simply put a text area or text field in the document for second signer to input. Whatever the signer fills out in the document will become part of the document at the end of their ceremony. Duo Liang

Hi marlon, Sry for the late reply! OneSpan Sign does not provide direct api call to modify fields in documents once a signer started to sign, but there is a way to input the details to fields. You’d have to build this capability into your application and the audit trail would reflect that the application changed the document. This is not a work flow we recommended and I don't want to put you into any potential trouble. Please talk to your legal/compliance department before pursuing this option. No worries thanks for your reply. When you say we need to build this into our application, do you mean downloading the signed application then creating a new package using the downloaded previous form? Marlon

Hi Marlon, If you mean to download the partially signed document, modify it and upload it again. No, this is not what I mean or what we suggest to use. What I suggest to use here is a mild use of session token, that is to mean, to input the text field on behalf of signer2 in advance. What would be shown on evidence summary is like the attachment: the application ip changed the value of Form Field. But still, all documents would be accepted by signer2 and signer2 can also change this text field as text field is meant to be modifiable during signing ceremony. If you are sure you want to apply this approach, I would show you detailed steps as it's a little bit complicated. Hope you find this reply helpful!
