Populate fields based on Template before sending for signing

0 votes
Would like to check if there's a way to use a template and programmatically populate custom fields or labels for information like Policy #, Customer Name & Address, and any other transaction-specific details. The example from this reference does not seem to populate the custom field when presented to user for signing -> custom fields reference.

You're getting the value you pass through the custom field in the final document, right? You're just wanting the value to be present upon accessing the signing ceremony? But it cannot be editable by the signer?

In the document, only the names of the custom fields are showing instead of actual values assigned using "CustomFieldValueBuilder.WithValue()". Kindly see attached screenshot on the document and code snippet.

Yes. This is how auto labels show in the signing ceremony. The values aren't visible until after the signer has completed their part of the transaction. To inject these values into the document, you'd have to use injected fields which can only be done when uploading the document. You could post in the Enhancement Ideas forum to either show these values (besides date) at the time of the ceremony OR to create a toggle for a text field (or any field) that would allow you to turn "editing" off.
