Set an external reviewer for an attachment in a sign transaction
Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 04:31pmHi, I would like to know if there is a way to set an external reviewer (different from the user that creates the transaction) who would check if it is correct a mandatory attachment for a signer. This reviewer would also need to receive the documents after all the signatures are completed. Is this possible?
Thank you!

If you add a signer to a package but don't designate any signature to him/her, then this person becomes a "Reviewer" of a package. Reviewer receives an email asking to review the content of a transaction and a copy of completion email after all signatures are completed. However, reviewers don't have visibility to package details like signer attachment information from the out-of-the-box UI, and reviewers don't have control over the signing process.
If you are designing a workflow without integration, and if the reviewer is an internal employee who also has an account with OneSpan Sign, you could assign a delegation to the reviewer so that reviewer could log onto sender's dashboard, review and edit the transaction if needed.
Or if it's an integrated workflow, you can expose the signer attachment information yourself, or build and embed below link into an iFrame:
https://sandbox.esignlive.com/auth?authenticationToken={senderToken}&target=https://sandbox.esignlive.com/a/transaction/{packageId}
This is the transaction edit page built by sender's authentication token, which provides control over the transaction.(Authentication Token Guide here)

Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 12:33pmJust to confirm, we add a role as usual to the transaction but when adding the document, document must not have the signor merge field for that role, which means that the user added is a reviewer. Am I correct?

Generally speaking, if you add a signer (no matter which role or id you specified) and don't assign any signature to the signer, he/she will become a reviewer by default. Let me know if you see the same.
