Signing Room timeout questions

Guys, Can someone tell me what the standard time out setting is for the digital signing room? Is it changeable on an account level? Also, since we getting the user auth token, is this taken into account or does the digital signing room timeout override what is being sent from the user auth token?

Hey Ryan, By default, both your sender & signer session timeout are 30 minutes. They share the same setting which can be changed at your account level through our support team. So in notary signing scenario, since you'd logged onto your web portal, it's sender session that works; for signer signing ceremonys, that's signer session that works. But both of them share the same expiry as mentioned. All kinds of authentication tokens, they are used to exchange for a session token. So basically authentication token timeout take care of how long your url link is valid, and session timeout take care of how long you are allowed to keep in idle status when you had a session connection with OneSpan Sign sites. They are different concepts and have separate lifecycles. Hope this could help! Duo

Duo, That does help. As for the idle session timeout, does that start once the user becomes idle or does it start once the user logs in? Also, does this timeout reset if the user then becomes active again or does it just continue on with the countdown until the user logs out?

Hi Ryan, The idle session timeout only counts when user becomes idle. And once user becomes active again, timeout will get reset. So a user could keep logged in if he/she keeps active. (it has to be an action like confirm/move to previous document/change language/refresh the page, etc, simply move mouse or click-to-sign or update a text field doesn't count for being active) Duo
