SmartNote Document Replace

0 votes

Guys -

Since we are not sending a document up for a smart note, it's being automatically generated from the data and enote data sections, how do we go about adding one to an existing transaction that is already up in OneSpan?

Logically, I would think we could just remove the smart note and then resend and updated package with the data and enote data sections filled out but that doesn't seem to work in my case. Any ideas?

Hi Ryan,

From my test, the SmartNote would only be generated when the package get created, any subsequent update won't trigger the document generation. In my understanding, this is to guarantee the consistence between the package metadata and the vault records. So from the technical perspective, the solution is to recreate a new package with the updated values and archive/trash the old one.

Duo,

That makes sense and looking back in my coding I see notes that point this out so I am going assume that we had this conversation a few years ago!

Thanks again for confirming this.
