Net-SNMP for OneSpan Authentication Server

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an internet standard protocol used to manage components on an IP network. Its main use is to monitor components in the network for messages that indicate that components require administrative attention. SNMP can be used for system and performance monitoring. Net-SNMP is a software suite to use and deploy the SNMP protocol.

OneSpan Authentication Server supports the following versions of Net-SNMP:

  • Net-SNMP 5.9.3

When installing OneSpan Authentication Server on Microsoft Windows, Net-SNMP can optionally be installed if no other SNMP agent is installed, or you decide not to install Net-SNMP on Windows while performing an advanced installation.

If you use the Net-SNMP package installed along with OneSpan Authentication Server, you can configure SNMP settings via the Configuration Utility. Otherwise, the Overwrite SNMP option is disabled.
