HSM modules

To use either a Thales ProtectServer or Entrust nShield hardware security module (HSM) with OneSpan Authentication Server, you need to install the appropriate Authentication Server Framework HSM module. OneSpan provides the corresponding modules required by the supported HSM devices.

For information about installing the appropriate Authentication Server Framework HSM module, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administrator Guide, Section "Hardware security module (HSM)".

The HSM module for Thales ProtectServer is also referred to as functionality module (FM) as it serves as a third-party module extending functionality in the HSM.

The HSM module for Entrust nShield is also referred to as SEE Module. For more information, see SEE module.
