Scenario: Push and login (High availability)

Push and login consists of an out-of-band authentication initiated on a website or other application. The authentication request is transmitted via push notifications to a mobile app. The user can inspect and confirm the authentication request with the mobile app.

In a high availability scenario, several instances of OneSpan Authentication Server and/or several instances of DIGIPASS Gateway are deployed. Together they handle requests distributed among them using a server-side load balancer.

Note that high availability in this scenario refers to the customer environment. The OneSpan cloud services are deployed in a high-availability architecture to ensure minimal service interruption.

About this scenario

This scenario extends other scenarios with load balancing. The specified scenario is an example of ensuring high availability for push and login using cloud only (see Figure: Push and login (Topology, Cloud only, High availability)). High-availability scenarios using on-premises only deployments are also possible.
