Getting a "noApprovals" message on this particular PDF document
Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 11:10amFor testing I have minimized the attached PDF to just have one field, a single pre-labeled signature. Similar documents work fine but this particular one gives me a “noApprovals” message when trying to run it through an exiting .NET submission program which is already setup & working. I am not sure what "noApprovals" means here and why this document is giving it but not others.

In a nutshell, the PDF form represents the signature should be a PDF text field vs a PDF signature field. I've adjusted the PDF and kindly give it a try.
Approval refers to the signature field in OneSpan Sign, so the error message implies that the signature is not recognized.

Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 12:43pmThank you, but the submission program I am using insists that signature fields be PDF. I did find a solution with that limitation though. Through experimentation that the signature fields generated by some PDF editors like PDFExchange Editor work, while the ones created by Foxit Phantom PDF editor do not, and that was causing my "some PDFs work and some don't" issue. I carefully checked all the parameters of each signature and I can not tell any difference - but obviously there is one. I really do appreciate your assistance though - normally that would be the absolutely correct thing to do.
