Can't convert placeholder to normal recipient in the designer
Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 09:20amI have created a template with a placeholder on the OneSpan website. When I use this template in a transaction, I am unable to change this placeholder to a normal recipient in the designer, and so I am unable to actually create and send the package. However, using the .NET SDK (presumably this works the same in all the SDKs) I am able to replace the placeholder just fine with "SignerBuilder.Replacing()", implying that this is a doable thing in some capacity.
Why am I unable to change the placeholder to a normal recipient via the designer, either on the OneSpan website or by calling the designer through the SDK? I have attached a screenshot showing my cursor changed to "disabled" when hovering over the "type" dropdown.
Thank you.

I am seeing the same, it seems that in designer, you can't change the signer type (between normal recipient, placeholder, group signer, etc). We can create a support ticket asking for confirmation from the R&D team, or you can work it around by
(1)collecting the signer information and update the package prior to presenting the designer view.
(2)or just use recipient type in the template, with dummy signer information, and remind your user somewhere updating the signer information before sending.

I would like to open a support ticket to get confirmation, as you suggested. What is the correct route to do so? Do I just send an email to [email protected], or is there a more direct way?
Thank you for your help so far.
