Regenerating answers files
This function is only available for answers files generated during installation. Answers files generated during upgrades cannot be regenerated.
If the Installation Wizard is re-run at any time, a new answers file can be created. Note that this file will not be complete, as only the answers file created at initial installation is guaranteed to be complete. If you generate a new answers file re-running the Installation Wizard after the initial install, you have to add the missing sections manually.
- Open a Command Prompt window.
- Change to the binary installation directory, i.e. %PROGRAMFILES%\VASCO\IDENTIKEY Authentication Server\bin by default.
-
Type the following command:
ikconfigwizardgui.exe --export=destination_folder\filename.ini
- Complete the configuration according to your needs.
When completing the configuration, the Installation Wizard creates a text file with the specified file name, i.e. destination_directory/filename.ini. This is the answers file, containing all the settings from the previous configuration process.
There are no restrictions regarding the answers file name and destination directory.
For more information about editing answers files, see Answers file contents and Using answers files. For more information about the Configuration Wizard command-line options, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administrator Reference.
