Self-Registration, Auto-Assignment, and Offline Activation Using a Black&White QR Code

For offline Mobile Authenticator Studio activation with a QR code, the following form fields must be used on the Self-Registration, Auto-Assignment, and Offline Activation Using a Black&White QR Code page and posted to the User Self-Management Website servlet (action="activation"):

username User Name

Required. The user name for logging on to User Self-Management Website. The maximum length is 255 characters.

password Password

Required. The static password or OTP for logging on to User Self-Management Website. The maximum length is 128 characters.

sendEmail Send Email Optional. This checkbox must be enabled if the QR code is to be sent to the user via email.
email Email Address

Optional. The email address to which the QR code should be sent. The maximum length is 255 characters.

commit Register Required. The button to submit data entered by the user to OneSpan Authentication Server.
replay_token <hidden> Required. Internally used form field to prevent re-transmission of form data.
Offline Activation Using a Black&White QR Code form fields (Activation page)

dpResponse Digipass Response Required. The response as calculated by the authenticator (without the static PIN if there is one).
commit Activate

Required if this button option is enabled.

The button to submit data entered by the user to OneSpan Authentication Server to activate the authenticator. Can be selected to be displayed.

commit Bind

Required if this button option is enabled.

The button to submit data entered by the user to OneSpan Authentication Server to bind the device. Can be selected to be displayed.

Mobile Authenticator Studio offline activation process with QR code

  1. The user navigates to the Self-Registration, Auto-Assignment, and Offline Activation Using a Black&White QR Code page.
  2. The user enters their user name.
  3. The user enters their password.
  4. If the QR code is to be sent to the user via email, the user selects the Send Email checkbox, and enters their email address.
  5. The user clicks Register.

    If user authentication is successful, the Activation page is displayed, which contains the QR code. Additionally, the QR code is sent to the user via email (if the user has selected this option).

  6. The user scans the QR code with the Mobile Authenticator Studio app on their mobile device.

    The user will receive a confirmation message once the activation process has been successfully completed.

  7. The user clicks Activate to activate the authenticator, or Bind to bind the device in OneSpan Authentication Server.
