Fixing configuration display issues
When running the Configuration Wizard, the default DPI setting may cause some display issues on both Gnome and KDE desktops. Specifically, some configuration options may be inaccessible on larger configuration windows.
To avoid this problem, force your desktop to use a defined resolution. Fonts will need to be configured to use 96 DPI (or lower). The procedure for doing so differs for both Gnome and KDE:
To fix configuration display issues on Gnome (typical instructions)
- If required, exit the Configuration Wizard.
-
Open the System menu and select Preferences.
The exact menu command depends on your Linux distribution.
- Select Appearance.
- Select the Fonts tab and click Details.
- Set the DPI to 96 (or lower).
- Re-start the Configuration Wizard.
To fix configuration display issues on KDE
- If required, exit the Configuration Wizard.
-
Open the System menu and select Appearance.
The exact menu command depends on your Linux distribution.
- Select the Fonts panel.
- Select 96 DPI in the Force Font DPI list.
- Re-start the Configuration Wizard.
