Uninstalling OneSpan Authentication Server
To uninstall OneSpan Authentication Server
-
Terminate any running OneSpan Authentication Server applications, e.g. Configuration Utility.
-
Open the control panel, usually via Start > Control Panel and select Programs and Features.
-
Select OneSpan Authentication Server and click Uninstall.
OneSpan Authentication Server is uninstalled.
-
Depending on your initial installation, you may also need to remove additional packages installed along with OneSpan Authentication Server:
- OneSpan Authentication Server Web Administration Service
- Apache Net-SNMP
- MariaDB (Caution!)
- MariaDB ODBC Driver 64-bit
- DBeaver database tool
-
When uninstalling the embedded MariaDB database server, you are prompted whether to remove or keep the existing database directory:
-
If you do not intend to keep the existing data, select Remove data when uninstalling MariaDB; the default database folder (data) will be deleted.
If you have initially enabled database encryption, you also need to delete the folders in %PROGRAMDATA%\VASCO\IDENTIKEY containing the certificates and encryption keys, i.e. cert and encr.
-
If you intend to use the data after reinstalling, select Keep data when uninstalling MariaDB; the default database folder remains on the disk.
Create a backup copy of the database folder and—if you have initially enabled database encryption—the certificate and encryption key folders and delete them afterward, i.e. data, cert, and encr. After reinstalling MariaDB, you can restore the folders and migrate them to the newly installed MariaDB database server.
