Creating a new cryptographic key

Use the SERVERS > Create New Key page to create new cryptographic keys.

To create a new cryptographic key

1. Enter a unique key ID name
2. Select the usage type (sensitive data or storage data).
3. Enter either the key label (HSM) or the key value (non-HSM).

4. If you have set up HSM, enter the following details:

   • Type a KCV (key check value).
   • Type a slot ID.

5. If you are using private keys, enter the following details:

   • Token Label
   • Token PIN
6. (OPTIONAL) Enter a brief description of the new key.

7. Click SUBMIT.

   The new key should now be visible in the list of available keys.
