Alternate Signers

0 votes

A customer is asking us about a scenario that I would like to clarify.

Tis customer would like the signing notification set to multiple people, and have any one of them able to do the signature. They also require 2-factor authentication. So we would like to be able to define - say 3 people who can sign using that role, and have *all of them* get a notification email and *any one of them* log in, get the SMS, and perform the signing. Is this possible? I have seen references to signature delegation and optional signatures but I am not sure if this scenario is either.

Thanks

Hi Michael,

This sounds like a typical "Group Signing" scenario to me, however, since group members have to logged onto their sender portals and identify who they are first, there won't be additional signer authentications like KBA, SMS or Q&A, which is by design.

(Group Signing: where a set of senders can act as a single signer. Group members receive email invitations to sign a related document package on a first-come, first-serve basis. The individual member's name will be stamped on the documents they signed as well as in the audit trail.)
