Writeback in Salesforce by using convention and Custom Action
Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10:31amI have a question on how to install a writeback to defined salesforce fields after completing esign package. I already build a convention, that is working properly and writing back values inside PDF to defined Salesforce fields. If trying the same with given convention by using an created Custom Action, inside the package information on successful writeback is given, but fields inside salesforce object are not updated as expected. Inside URL, option for WriteBack is set to 1 and package is created properly. Can anyone help me, what is missing?

Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 12:39pmHi Jochen,
Thanks for the post! I followed your process and have experienced something similar but different:
- if I auto-send the transaction by adding "&Send=1", the fields will not be properly prepared like you experienced, but not the case when I manually send the transaction (without hitting the prepare button).
-for the failed scenario, both inject and write back failed
-when I recalled the failed transaction and manually prepared it, the association between Salesforce fields and OneSpan Sign fields are properly built
I knew it may be different from your experience, but from above statements, could you confirm or try:
-you are not auto sending the transaction using custom action (I knew it doesn't look like so from the link you provided, just want to confirm)
-from the "advanced option" tab, all "Auto-Prepare with Text Tags", "Insert Salesforce Values" and "Write Back to Salesforce Fields" options are toggled, right? - still, I don't think having "auto-prepare" toggled means the documents are already properly prepared
-if you additional hit the "prepare" button, wait until the pop-up window finished building, close the pop-up then send the transaction, will it make a difference?
