General deployment considerations

When deciding on a deployment model, the primary considerations are as follows:

  1. Data replication. Will data replication be performed by OneSpan Authentication Server or by a custom database replication program? Database replication provides better performance than replication via OneSpan Authentication Server, but may induce extra costs.

  2. Back-end authentication. The back-end server performance largely depends on the used back-end system.

  3. Load Balancing. See Load balancing.
