Administration with multiple OneSpan Authentication Server instances
In environments with multiple OneSpan Authentication Server instances, administrative tasks such as user and authenticator import or reporting can be handled in two different ways, depending on the replication setup of your system.
- If you use commercial replication between database servers, any OneSpan Authentication Server instance can handle administrative tasks. Administration requests can be distributed between the server instances via a load balancer. No dedicated administration server is required.
- If you have OneSpan Authentication Server replication enabled, you need to set up a dedicated OneSpan Authentication Server instance for administrative purposes This is required to reduce load on the server instance(s) processing authentication requests.
