Group User
Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 05:23amHi,
We would like to check if it is possible to set up an account for a group, using for example a shared mailbox for the user. Then, people with access to that mailbox would be able to access OneSpan to send documents for signature.
Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for your post!
Could you elaborate your requirement a little bit? Why I am asking is because users in OneSpan Sign typically sign in their sender portal via username and password credentials, or via sender SSO. You can create an account username with shared mailbox for sure, however I doubt the account access is somehow related to the actual mailbox access.

Thanks a lot for your quick response!
We do use SSO and what we would be looking for is into having a shared user that could be accessed by several members of my Team. So, only one account username that several individuals could access through our personal applications.
Kind regards

Thanks for the background information, I see what you meant now!
There's a workaround that you can link the email assertion to a new AD user attribute representing the email alias (The attached screenshot is an example in Okta, where I added a custom attribute user.email2). This gives you extra flexibility than always use the AD username or the user's primary email.
For example, [email protected] is the sender email in account A, and multiple AD users can have the same user.email2 so that they kept their own AD credentials and be able to access this service account. (From my tests, only email assertion matters, the f/lname can be different from the sender profile)
