Field name Description
Attribute Group

Attribute groups provide a way to add different attributes to the user account for different client components.

  • Client Components. An attribute group is specified by the client component as a parameter in the authentication request. OneSpan Authentication Server will return any custom user attributes set for that user in the specified attribute group.
  • RADIUS reply attributes. For RADIUS attributes, one or more attribute groups are specified in the policy used for the specific client component.

For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Product Guide, Section "User attributes".

Name

The name of the attribute.

  • Custom user attributes. The name for the attribute as expected by the client component. For Digipass Authentication for IIS Basic this would be either User-Name or Password.
  • RADIUS attributes. The name of the RADIUS attribute. This must conform to a RADIUS attribute name specified in the RADIUS dictionary in use. For more information and instructions, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administrator Guide, Section "Using custom RADIUS attributes dictionaries".
Usage

Optional. Specifies the usage of the user attribute. This is not available for RADIUS attributes.

Possible values:

  • Basic. Indicates that the attribute is used by Digipass Authentication for IIS Basic for basic authentication.
  • Check. Deprecated. Indicates that this is a check attribute that is used by Digipass Authentication for Steel-Belted RADIUS Server. For more information, refer to the Digipass Authentication for Steel-Belted RADIUS Server Administrator Guide.
  • Profile. Deprecated. Used to specify the name of a RADIUS profile for SBR (if Digipass Authentication for Steel-Belted RADIUS Server is used).
  • Return. Deprecated. Indicates that this is a return attribute that is used by Digipass Authentication for Steel-Belted RADIUS Server.
